Is a consultation required before scheduling my cook date?
Yes, a 45 minute (or less) in-home consultation is required for Chef Gwen to obtain your dietary needs and food preferences. This allows Chef Gwen to customize your menu specific to your taste.
Is it okay for my nutritionist to sit in during my consultation to ensure my dietary needs are met?
Absolutely! Chef Gwen will work with your nutritionist or physician to ensure you are getting the proper foods.
Do I need to accompany Chef Gwen to the grocery store to pay for groceries?
No, part of your meal experience is allowing Chef Gwen to save you time by doing your grocery shopping, menu planning and preparing meals for you.
How much advance notice do I need to provide, prior to scheduling a special event?
We are always here to meet your culinary needs and will accommodate urgent requests as much as possible. However, to ensure a quality culinary experience, please contact us at least 30 days prior to your desired event.
What is the average time required to prepare each meal?
Please allow 1 - 1.5 hours per meal to be prepared. For example, if you order 5 meals / 4 servings = 20 total meals, allow for 5 - 7 hours prep, cook, package, store meals, and cleanup.
Do I have to be home while Chef Gwen is preparing the meals?
No. Chef Gwen will require access to your home and upon leaving she will lock your door. If needed she will set the alarm with proper instructions.
What do I need to do to prepare for Chef Gwen's arrival?
Please ensure the kitchen is clean and clear of dishes, including sinks, counters, table, island, stove, etc. Also, make room in your freezer and / or refrigerator for the amount of meals you are having prepared. NOTE: Containers are free for the intial visit. Repeat customers are required to clean and retain all food containers for continued use. There is a $2 - $4 replacement cost per container depending on serving size.
Will Chef Gwen bring her own seasonings?
Yes. Primary pantry items such as flour, sugar, salt and spices are included in your price quote.
Will Chef Gwen use my pots and pans?
No. Chef Gwen will bring all the professional grade cookware and supplies, necessary to prepare quality meals for you and your family.
My family eats only organic foods. Can Chef Gwen accommodate our needs?
Yes, organic food items are available upon request.
How will the prepared meals be packaged?
All food is prepared, packaged and labeled for your convenience. Food can be packaged as individual servings, 2 person servings or in family sized portions. NOTE: Containers are free for the intial visit. Repeat customers are required to clean and retain all containers for continued use. There is a $2 - $4 replacement cost per container depending on serving size.
Will Chef Gwen clean the kitchen prior to departure?
Absolutely! Your kitchen will be left clean upon completion. Your meals will be placed in the refrigerator and/or freezer.
What are the cost of the services provided by Gwen's Gourmet?
Personal Chef Service prices are based on the amount of meals and frequency of your services. Special Events pricing is based on the amount of servings and food you wish to have prepared.

What are the acceptable forms of payment?
Initial deposits: cash, checks and certified funds
Final payment: cash and certified funds only delivered upon arrival on cook date
Does Gwen's Gourmet provide services outside of the Atlanta Metropolitan area?

Can I purchase a gift certificate?
Yes. You can purchase a cash equivalent gift certificate in any denomination; or a gift certificate can be purchased for a service (dinner for two, personal chef services, etc.)
